Post-Production Engineer

Post-production engineer Ian Marge's history with editing started with his first day of film school at Rochester Institute of Technology when he was handed a Bolex and told to create a film project with “in-camera-editing.” By the end of his schooling, he had learned to cut on about every editing format and technology available at the time. After college, Ian found his way into one of the last remaining master/apprentice editing relationships in Boston at Lightning and Thunder Editorial. From there, he made his way to Avid Technology, where he spent eight years cultivating his technical and problem- solving skills. As an Avid systems engineer, he lent his skills to such sites as The David Letterman Show, Late Nite with Conan O'Brien, The Food Network, ESPN SportsCenter, The Rachel Ray Show, and The Oprah Winfrey Show, among others. At Powderhouse, he works with the company's editors to help improve editing efficiency and integrate new technologies.
